Donnington Castle, Mothers Day and the rest lol

Lynne came to visit for the weekend and we were trying to think of places to visit, Connor and I have been doing some photo training, me training him lol, he has a very good eye, and catches on quickly and Donning ton Castle was one of the places on our list, so Saturday morning we took a drive up to the Castle, as castles go it was a bit disappointing, not much of it left, but it was a beautiful day and perfect for taking photos.  They boys had great fun chasing each other and climbing a tree and Connor rolled down a hill, but unfortunately managed to roll into a load of stingy nettles, so we had to find some dock leaves, he was really brave as I remember that nettle stings are really painful.

Tye did a good deed that day, an American father and his two daughters were coming down the hill when the youngest one lost control of her bike and nearly ended up in the barbed wire fence, Tye caught her and stopped her and the father was very grateful and kept telling the other daughter to thank Tye for saving her sister and he shook Tye's hand bless him.

The weather was perfect for photos and I was really pleased to get some great shots and yes even a few with me in them which is really rare.

My boy, I know I am bias but he is gorgeous, luckily he doesn't read this or he would be really embarrassed lol

Fabulous all Day Crop on Saturday 2nd April, and Rachael Kenny taught us how to make Sock Creatures, really enjoyed doing it, I found it a bit difficult as I don't have any feeling in my thumbs and and first fingers but I wasn't quite the last to finish.  We were all really impressed with our little Sock Creatures.  Mine is the Black and Yellow one, Connor loves it and has called it Chester.  There was hysterical laughter at a few points when the tone was lowered lol. I love my all day crops even though they are hard work, the group of girls that come to them make everything worthwhile.

Ok some scrapping, this is a layout of old photos of Connor, I am trying to scrap, I tend to just pick photos out of my box as I get bored easily loved scrapping these and enjoyed the stitching.

Some more cards that I have been making

A friend of mine's husband is in Afghanistan at the moment, so I arranged with her boys for an impromptu photo shoot and they paid for some frames to give the photos to her on Mother Day
