Being stationed back where we live November is Remembrance Day so Tye proudly marched in the parade, Connor decided he was going to be photographer, so the photos are a little dubious lol, but it was very difficult to see the whole parade, it is lovely that so many people turn out for this, but I was still very disappointed to see that some people were not wearing poppies.
Connor or Kai as he is now know in his Break Dance and Street Dance classes, was given a Spy Camp experience by one of his Grandmothers for his birthday and we finally managed to book this in and he had a fabulous day, learning to fire sniper rifles and defusing bombs, just the thing boys enjoy lol
Christmas arrived very quickly I thought I was prepared but no I wasn't, most of the family decided to do lists this year which is great, you know what to get everyone and everyone gets something that they wanted rather than something which you think is pretty or they may like, I am all for lists, they did backfire on me slightly but I was expecting that with certain people.
I bought a Gingerbread house for Kai and I to make, seemed like a good idea, hmm for someone who has not baked a cake this was not a good idea, the icing sugar did not want to go in the bag and then it did not want to come out through the nozzle, but out the top and several holes that somehow appeared in the bag.... It was very hard going, but also fun and we did kind of put the house together in the end.
Last year Christmas was hectic to say the least, don't get me wrong it was enjoyable but we had two days out of the whole of the holidays that we spent on our own and when we finally went back to work, we didn't feel as if we had had a break. This year we decided that we were going to have a quiet Christmas, Kai doesn't believe but bless him he pretended for me, we had a lovely Christmas morning. Tye's present was difficult, we had set a limit but I kinda blew that, he needs a gadget to play with, he is really bah humbug, so if he doesn't get something to occupy him he is bored and then of course becomes annoying lol. I decided to get him a Galaxy Pad, I did think about getting him the iPad, but the Galaxy had a lot more going for it, the fact that it will play the Flash Player and the memory is expandable, I was really pleased that I managed to surprise him too, he had no idea and I got him to open up the screen protector first.
Even the cat decided to open Christmas presents, we had a lovely day and of course played family wii too. I got lots of chocolate goodies in my stocking, and was very good and waited until January 1st to eat them.
I was extremely busy before Christmas with photo shoots, why do people leave it to the last minute to decide that photos would make a good Christmas present lol Here are a few shots from different shoots.
